How to enter the competition: What is this competition all about: There are two competition categories, one for registered architects(Sub-Saharan Africa only) and one for students (South Africa only). The following prizes will be awarded: Participation: Entries: Design parameters: The design should also illustrate the following:
Step 1: Register on the Franke www.frankedesign.co.za website as a contestant.
Step 2: Read and accept the rules of the competition. By registering you agree to be bound by the competition rules.
Step 3: Once registered, you will be granted access to download the 3D rendering design components in the required format which may be used in your public bathroom design.
Step 4: Upload your completed designs to the website by no later than the 30th September 2012.
Step 5: Announcement of Winners - The winners will be announced on or before 30th November 2012.

We have decided to offer all architects, interior designers of commercial buildings and student architects the opportunity to design a public ablution using Franke stainless steel sanitaryware and bathroom accessories.
• For the best design by a registered architect or interior designer of commercial buildings: An all expenses paid trip to the ISH Plumbing and Sanitaryware Exhibition Germany in 2013.
• For students (architects or interior designers): Best design, five thousand Rands Cash and two thousand Rands Cash for the runner-up.
The following people may register and take part in this competition, namely;
a) any architect registered to practice as such anywhere in the Sub-Saharan Africa;
b) any interior designer who practices as such in Sub Saharan Africa;
c) any architectural student or interior design student who is registered as such with a tertiary educational body legally recognised as such in South Africa.
a) Entries are limited to a maximum of three designs per person.
b) The design may only be submitted electronically on the Franke competition website in the format provided by Franke on that website by no later than the 30th September 2012.
A design must contain the minimum components downloaded from the Franke design website (www.frankedesign.co.za), namely:
a) two WC pans and two paper dispensers;
b) two urinals;
c) one slab type basin or single basins;
d) one soap dispenser;
e) one paper towel dispenser or hand dryer;
f) Franke self closing tap(s) suited for the application;
i) a plan and perspective view of the design;
ii) placement of accessories and taps;
iii) the use of colour.
